I think today’s post about using the E-mail me later has been an eye opener for many. Thanks to comments and ideas for screen prints BTW from readers. But many have had issues with the public link (or other links for that matter other days). It begs the question – should I just call the bank?
My answer is NEVER EVER do that. Why? You have NO proof of the offer you are going to get in the end. It is up to the rep to “say” they found the offer you are talking about. Even if you do screen shots – the reps later can say you did not apply for THAT offer. What can you do then?
The best option is to first clear your cache. How do you do that? Here is a WiKi how to do just that: http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cache
Then, try again. If that does not work, try another browser like Firefox or Chrome or Safari or another browser if on a tablet like Dolphin etc. All of these are so much better choices that will track your application to what you clicked on (whatever the offer is).
With some of these offers I know time is an issue, but sometimes calling may KILL a deal if it is mistake or the like. You may not only NOT get points, but you may be the reason the next reader does not get the deal.- René

@Gene – yes but #2 in importance. I want reader to get the deal they expect!
I always use Google Chrome Incognito mode (click the button with three horizontal lines in the upper right corner and select new incognito window). Works especially well when applying for amex cards. Also works well for cash back and online shopping portals.
Question on the DL Platinum Amex Business card – I understand that there are some differences between the benefits and T+Cs of the business vs. personal card. If I remember correctly, you did an extensive review of “which credit card is best to use on a car rental” a while back. Is there a difference in the car rental coverage on a business vs. personal card? Next week I’m renting some cars under a USAA rate which was the cheapest for the particular location and – as you know – includes some extra coverage. I was considering using the business card to help meet the minimum spend requirements.
Have you found any good apps to backup phone book on Android?
@Em – no will look but maybe readers can chime in! Very good idea!
