As I blogged about a few weeks ago, our beloved airline is now a gas producer (oh and jet fuel too). How will this adventure go? It will be fun to watch.
It seems like a ton of cash, $150 million, but when you break that down, it is just the cost of ONE SINGLE 767-200ER bird according to last year’s prices!
My poll results of DeltaPoints readers were almost even split 50-50 as to if this is a good choice for our airline. The CEO thinks it is a great idea and if it works all the airlines will be in the gas biz. As I said before, these people are NOT risk averse and I can not wait to see how it goes! – Rene

With several refineries going offline in the near future, and the lack of construction of new, Delta should be able to find the talent to operate this effectively…
