I just got an official update from DELTA CORP on the situation and it is this:
“SkyMiles award seat availability in business class on Air France and KLM operated flights is currently unavailable. Delta, Air France and KLM are working together to resolve this matter and apologize for the inconvenience.
Additional details on this situation will be posted on the delta.com when available. In the interim, SkyMiles members should book Delta operated flights for business class award travel and upgrades.” – From Delta Air Lines
Now if the ASIAN booking option does shut down tonight Sunday night, we should all take notice of what is going on! I will do my best to keep you up to date! – Rene

And what do you do if there are no Delta operated flights to your desired destination? This (EDIT) big time. Maybe DL should allow us to transfer our SkyMiles to Flying Blue.
@Raj – I feel you. I think Delta should allow us to book at low level on DL metal but it does not look like they are going to do the right thing and allow that! – rene
I guess its just a business decision to force many people to redeem mile at elevated price thus reduce Delta’s outstanding liability and be an even more profitable carrier.
While I believe the original glitch may have been accidental, I don’t believe for a second that Delta is really trying to resolve it. If you believe they are, I’ve got a bridge I’d like to sell you.
