Time for a news update post. Memphis has been a hub for a long time. For now it will not go the way of CVG but who knows how long that will last. There is also other news about ATL and 747’s. Here is what caught my attention this week:
Richard Anderson says “We actually still have a hub here” in MEM
And at the same time MEM-AMS becomes summer only
Delta has paid off all it’s MSP loans & now is consolidating more out of MSP
I love my GPS for my car, phone and in ATL it should save GAS!
More AIR cargo is heading into ATL again with AF/KLM
I LOVE the 747. Delta had NONE until it got the ones from NWA. Now it would seem with the seat upgrade Delta loves the bird again. How kool would a purchase of a few 747-8’s be?
And for all we gripe about Delta fee’s they do make money unlike AF/KLM
That’s a rap for today! – Rene

Nice to know MEM hub is still around (for now). MEM is one of my fav cities (the food..mmm, the music)so although I live in ATL (DL PM)and rarely do connecting flights, I never hesitate to choose MEM as a connecting city (when feasible) because the airport is small enough (and laid back..compared to ATL) that connecting is a breeze.
